while i wouldn't say i collect CDs per se, i do have a few that i love a lot, so i thought i would share them here :)

a note on the morals of uploading the audio files for these CDs: i have only done this because these are by artists who a) already have an incredible amount of money, to the degree where a few extra streams on a paid service would not mean much (e.g. elton john, darren criss); b) artists who offer their music for free anyway, with an included link to support them (e.g. astrophysics); or c) artists who aren't alive to collect any royalties anyway (e.g. david bowie). if an artists didn't fit at least one of these criteria i wouldn't upload the track.

i have a curse placed upon me (every single time i get a CD my mum says "oh yeah i have/had a cd of them" and i don't know if this is more a reflection of my music taste or hers)
