for a night like this is a single by darren criss released in 2021 in the lead-up to the release of the masquerade EP. i would have the whole EP on an official CD if one were released, but only 3 singles were ever released as CDs - f*kn around, i can't dance, and for a night like this. i would have ordered all of these, but i live in the UK so postage is astronomical from the US, even just one $5 CD cost quite a lot, i think the 3 of them together came to something like £30? which i suppose isn't that much but i don't have a job and i got like £2 a week pocket money at the time so i wasn't willing to fork out that much. so i decided to buy my favourite one!!
the release of the masqerade EP was very exciting for me because i'm not really active on any social media so i had no fucking clue what was going on except for the fact that one day there was a notification from darren's youtube channel and HOLY SHIT IT WAS A NEW SONG!! and it was on the anniversary of avpm being performed for the first time!!! and that kept happening!! i was basically just going feral throughout that whole thing tbh

i ordered an unsigned version of the CD (because you could only get a signed one as part of a massive bundle with a hoodie and all that for loads of money), and it actually specified on the page that it was unsigned, but i guess i'm just so excellent that when it turned up it was signed B) making it my second signed darren criss cd!! i ADORE it
